Social Skills Classes

Puppy Prep
The most important training you will ever do with your dog happens when your puppy is very young. This is a dogs prime socialization time. In this class we carefully and positively expose your pup to a variety of different sights, sounds, dogs, people, moving objects and surfaces. We also teach basic skills and talk about common puppy challenges such as chewing, jumping and house training. This is a drop in class so you can attend when you’d like. For puppies under 5 months.
$10/class or FREE if enrolled in other training – with Sarah Fricke

Social Hour (1 hour @ $10.00)
This is an opportunity for your dog to free play with other appropriate dogs and learn good social skills. This is also a great opportunity for you to learn about canine play and body language. For dogs and puppies 5 months and older.

Foundation Skills for Reactive Dogs
Dogs with reactivity issues often need to spend extra time on foundation skills that focus on self control especially with other people and dogs present. This class gives you a safe and controlled setting to learn and practice in. In most cases one or more private sessions are required prior to attending this class.

Obedience and Manners Classes

Family Dog I (6 hours @ $160.00)
This beginner class teaches you and your dog the basics of dog behavior and obedience training. Using positive training techniques you will teach your dog to walk nicely on a leash, sit, lay down, stay, come when called, greet people politely and many other useful skills. We will also be discussing how to solve many common behavioral problems found in dogs and puppies. Dogs 14 weeks and older welcome.

Family Dog II (6 hours @ $160.00)
This intermediate class focuses on perfecting your dog’s basic skills around distractions as well as teaching new and useful commands. If your dog has had some training but doesn’t always respond consistently, or if you enjoy training your dog and want him/her to learn new things, then this class is for you. Family Dog I or instructor approval required.

Family Dog III (6 hours @ $160.00)

This class is just the thing to polish your dog’s skills in real life settings. Our main focus will be reliability around major, real world distractions. Several of the classes will be held at local parks and dog friendly establishments. This class is so much fun you will want to take it again and again!

Nice to meet you (4 hours @ $110)

This class is all about greetings! Teaching your dog to greet new people politely and calmly every time is not that simple, that’s why we’ve dedicated a whole class to it. We will be teaching and perfecting the steps to polite greetings at your front door as well as out and about. Family Dog II or instructor approval required.

Therapy Dog Class (6 hours @ $160.00)

Trail Manners (8 hours @ $215)

Would you like your dog to come when called reliably, no matter what is going on around him? Do you enjoy exploring the beautiful hiking trails in Colorado with your dog? Maybe Fido needs a little work on staying calm and under control around distractions. If the answer is yes, then this class is for you. We will be teaching important skills and preparing you and your dog for the real life distractions encountered on local hiking trails and in the real world.
$215/8 week class

Agility

Agility I (6 hours @ $160.00)
You and your dog will learn basic agility obstacles as well as important handler skills. This is a great way to build your dogs confidence as well as strengthen the bond between you. Agility will also help exercise and challenge the high-energy dog.

Agility II (6 hours @ $160.00)
For dogs and handlers who have completed an agility basic class. This class will focus on you and your dog as a team and perfect your speed and handler skills, plus have tons of fun!

Agility III (6 hours @ $160.00)
For dogs and handlers who are ready for full courses and faster speeds. Perfecting your handler skills and challenging your dog with more difficult exercises.

Fun Classes

Rally Obedience (6 hours @ $160.00)
Rally is a fun dog sport where dog and handler complete a course with 10-20 stations of obedience exercises. This introductory class will teach you and your dog all the stations for the beginner level as well as work on heeling with attention. This is a fun way to challenge your dog and build a great bond. Family Dog I or instructor approval required.

Tricks class (6 hours @ $160.00)
Patti Davieau
This class is a great way to have a good time with your dog! We will be teaching lots of tricks that are both useful as well as fun to show off with at parties, outings or therapy dog visits. Dogs at all skill levels welcome.

Nose Work

Scent Detection and Tracking (4 hours @ $110 OR 6 hours @ $160.00)
This class will explore several different types of scent work with your dog. We will work indoor exercises such as “Find My Keys” as well as outdoor tracking and air scenting work. Dogs and puppies of all ages welcome!

This class continues to explore several different types of scent work. We will work indoor exercises such as building and container searches as well as outdoor tracking. Scent Det and Tracking I Required.

Tracking (6 hours @ $160.00)

This class focuses on outdoor, AKC style tracking. Working on tracks of various lengths, challenging turns and varying surfaces. Scent Det and Tracking II Required.
